Yep that’s right. 106° on Saturday! Of course, when power is needed most, it goes out. 106° outside and no fans or air conditioning inside. We weren’t home when the power first went out, but I heard it was at least an hour already. It was long enough that even my battery backup for the tivo ran out of juice. I’m considering getting a battery backup for the portable fans in the house! Or maybe it’s time to look into that portable backup power generator, to keep the air conditioner going.
At least I wasn’t totally out of options to keep cool inside the house. We have a soaking tub in the master bathroom that I filled with cold water. It sure felt cool sitting in it. However, the minute I got out of the water, it felt like I need to go back in. My thermometer in the bedroom said it was 95° inside!
