Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

Posted on July 4, 2006

Just came back from Disneyland and California Adventure for the seventh time this summer (includes the times I went in at 10pm and left at midnight…that Disney Silver Pass sure is useful!). So I was thinking…after riding the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, wouldn’t it be cool if other rides were interactive too? Wouldn’t it be fun shooting at the pirates in the Pirates of the Caribbean or hitting the ghosts that pop up in the Haunted Mansion? How about aiming your blaster at the hippopotamus while on the Jungle Cruise or at the snakes in the Indiana Jones Adventure? Of course, that would never happen, as those rides just wouldn’t be the same anymore. But for one day, if they did that, it would be so cool…

Speaking of the Disney Silver Pass, it sure does save a lot of money. Currently, admission costs $79 for a 1-day Park Hopper Ticket and $116 for a 2-Day Park Hopper Ticket. With the number of times I’ve gone in, a better comparison would be to the $349 Premium Annual Passport (parking included). And the savings do not stop there! 20% off all food and beverages (not including food/drink carts), 35% off all store merchandise, and 10% – 20% discounts at stores and restaurants at Downtown Disney.
