As was reported in all financial news sources a couple of weeks ago, Disney is buying Pixar for $7.4 billion. That’s 2.3 Disney shares for every 1 Pixar share. Pixar is physically staying where they’re at, and will continue to be called Pixar. For the most part, it looks like everyone will be better off. The only unfortunate ones are the people at Circle 7, the animation unit of Disney that was working on Toy Story 3. That movie was cancelled as part of the Disney Pixar deal.
Speaking of the Disney Pixar deal, even though Disney is buying Pixar, it almost seems like Pixar is buying Disney (for -$7.4 billion). Pixar will be in charge of the Feature Animation division of Disney. So who bought who?
