Disneyworld was hot and humid as expected. Stayed at the Grand Floridian last time, so we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge this time. Great place, with views of the Savannah from our balcony. Only downside, if I had to mention one, is its remote distance from the parks. Except for the Animal Kingdom, which is right next door.

Then Disneyland.

We’ve been there many times before, and nothing new yet there. They’re still working on the new Cars Land, along with many other improvements to California Adventure. Among them is the new World of Color show and the Little Mermaid ride. The lagoon is still drained, and the old Palace of Fine Arts replica dome has been demolished. I’ve never gone in there, and from what I’ve heard, I didn’t miss anything.

Vegas was next.

Been there many times before too. But it’s still a good relaxing trip, sitting by the pool doing nothing. And even though alcohol is served everywhere and at any time, this was the first time I’ve seen someone drunk at the pool, and the first time I’ve seen security escort anyone away from the pool.

Then Paris.

We were there for about a week, and the weather, other than our day of arrival (it was raining and windy), was nice. Lots of artwork, and everything is expensive. Especially anything on Champs-Ëlysées.

And of course, Disneyland Paris.

Since we were already in Paris, we made the trip out to Disneyland Paris. It’s about 45 minutes by train. Really easy to get to from Central Paris. The attractions are very similiar. The biggest difference is Space Mountain, where the one in Paris is more like the Rock N’ Roller Coaster in Florida. It’s faster, higher, and even has loops!

And throughout all this, we worked on transforming the kitchen. Lots of work there…so it’ll be a seperate update (with pictures!).
