Wow, it’s hard to believe that the diecast cars from the movie Cars is such a collector’s item. All the stores, such as Target and Toys R Us, are sold out of them. Even online stores are out of stock. But a quick search on Ebay for Pixar diecast cars shows quite a few available, though they’re selling for much more than their retail price. A few people are asking well over a $100.00 for the complete collection (16 cars)! Maybe I should put mine up on Ebay? (nah!)
Of course, Pixar and Mattel could decide to increase the complete collection to over 16 diecast cars. It first started at 12 (Lightning McQueen, Sally, Mater, King, Lizzie, Sheriff, Filmore, Wingo, Sarge, Doc Hudson, Chick Hicks, and DJ), and then they recently introduced 4 more (Dinoco McQueen, Nitroade, a green colored Ramone, and Leakless). If they do increase the total, I’ll have to go out and get them!
